Everton in for Mata

Everton have been linked with a move for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata, according to the Telegraph.

The Spain international was sold to the Red Devils from Chelsea by Jose Mourinho – the man who replaced Loius van Gaal as United manager – in January 2014.

Since arriving at Old Trafford, he has racked up one hundred and four appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring twenty-six goals though he appears to be surplus to Mourinho’s requirements once again.

He was part of the squad that won the FA Cup back in May, while he won the same competition with Chelsea in 2012 as well as tasting success in both the Champions League and Europa League.

He has been caped forty times for his country scoring ten goals, though he was left out of their squad for this summer’s European Championships in France.
