Everton readying bid for Olivier Giroud

The Daily Mirror has suggested that Everton are set to make a fresh assault on Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.

It is no secret that the Frenchman is unhappy at the lack of playing time and he seems ready to consider a January exit.

After failing to bring Giroud to Goodison Park in the summer, Everton boss Ronald Koeman is determined to make things right in the winter.

The Toffees have largely struggled up front in the opening exchanges and the Dutch manager is desperate to add the Arsenal star to his ranks at the earliest opportunity.

It is believed that Everton could pay up to £40 million for Giroud, who remains France’s number one striker despite struggling for playing time at the Emirates.
