Fabio set for Nantes

As revealed by the man himself on Twitter, Fabio da Silva also known simply as Fabio has agreed on a deal to move from Middlesbrough to French club Nantes. The 28-year-old full-back has spent the last two years of his career at the Riverside after making the jump from Cardiff City, and now, it seems as if he’s set to test himself in another high-profile European league as he ventures into the world of French football.

Fabio is most well known for his time at Manchester United where, alongside his twin brother Rafael, he was considered to be a future superstar at the club. Alas, things didn’t quite work out and as he went off in search of opportunities elsewhere in Britain, his brother Rafael moved to Lyon.

That now means that the two brothers face the very real possibility of coming up against one another in Ligue 1 next season.
