Fenerbahce held Sion to a 2-2 draw in Thursday’s second leg, for a 4-2 aggregate victory and a spot in the UEFA Europa League group phase.

The Istanbul outfit beat Sion 0-2 in Switzerland but the return leg, played at Sükrü Saracoglu stadium, was a much closer battle.

Andre Santos put ‘Fener’ ahead in the second minute but goals from Vilmos Vanczak (9th) and Tariq Chihab (31st, pen.) turned things around for the Swiss, who only needed one more to complete their come-back and have the away goal advantage.

But instead, Fenerbahce earned a penalty in the 41st minute and Andre Santos scored his second of the night from the spot; 2-2 and 4-2 on aggregate.
