(GSM) – Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson expects United duo Gary Neville and Paul Scholes to extend their Manchester United careers. Scholes is currently considering a one-year extension to his present contract, but has yet to indicate a desire to sign it.

Meanwhile, Neville said he wants to concentrate on his football. The 35-year-old is in-form that was recently capped by an excellent performance against Milan.

And Ferguson expects the Red Devils’ duo to remain at Old Trafford.

“Gary Neville is a player of will,” said Ferguson.

“He has got where he is in life because he has the will to do it.

“When you are out of the game for so long at his age it is not easy.

“We don’t bring him in every week because we know the nature of his body.

“But on Wednesday he was outstanding. At 35 years of age his drive is a great example to anybody and I can see him playing next season.”

“I expect Paul to stay next year but I haven’t spoken to him about it,” said Ferguson.
