Serie A outfit Fiorentina are stepping up their efforts to sign Turkish midfielder Nuri Sahin from Borussia Dortmund, according to Bild.
Viola are preparing for life after Milan Badelj, who is widely expected to leave in January and they see the Turkey international as a very good replacement.
Bild claims that Fiorentina are already in advanced talks with the Millionaires, who are looking to cash in on the midfielder as early as possible.
Sahin has been deemed surplus to requirements at Signal-Iduna Park, and he hasn’t made a single appearance for the club this season.
Trabzonspor are also believed to be keen on his services, but the Turkish giants have yet to make their interest concrete.
Nuri Sahin has a contract until June 2018 with Borussia Dortmund, but everything suggests he will be leaving the club in the January transfer window, with Fiorentina now strong favourites for his signature.
