Fredy Guarin nears Inter exit

Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport understands that Colombian midfielder Fredy Guarin is widely expected to leave Inter Milan in the coming days.

The highly rated footballer continues to be linked with a Stadio Giuseppe Meazza exit and the fact he was left out of the squad for today’s clash against Torino, where Nerazzurri are 7/5 for the win, is enough to suggest he could have played his last game for the club.

Inter have rejected a loan offer from Valencia as they hope to sell the player outright for some €16 million, but the asking price is likely to be lowered ahead of the transfer deadline.

Manchester United and Zenit are the other two sides showing interest in the experienced midfielder, but they have yet to make their moves.

Inter officials plan to offload Fredy Guarin and Ricky Alvarez so that they can make a late assault on Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.
