Gladbach eyeing Victor Lindelof

German daily newspaper Westdeutscher Zeitung is reporting that Borussia M’gladbach are showing interest in Swedish defender Victor Lindelof.

Die Fohlen hope to secure Champions League qualification through league finish and are already in the market for defensive reinforcements.

Seeing that first team regular Andreas Christensen is owned by Chelsea, they may be forced to recruit a new central defender.

According to the latest reports, Borussia officials have set their sights on Benfica centre-back Victor Lindelof.

The Sweden international was on the verge of leaving the club in January in search of first team football, but his status at Estadio da Luz has since changed.

Namely, Lindelof grabbed the chance with both hands in the absence of Luisao and Lisandro Lopez, putting in some strong performances in Primeira Liga and the Champions League.

He is now on the radar of English Premier League clubs, while Borussia M’gladbach are clearly keen on his services as well.
