Guidetti rules out Eredivisie return

Manchester City striker John Guidetti has moved to rubbish reports linking him with a summer move to PSV Eindhoven.

Metro revealed few days ago that City could send the Swede to PSV in an attempt to lure Jetro Willems, but the player himself has denied such a possibility.

Guidetti has made it clear that he wouldn’t join another Eredivisie club out of respect for Feyenoord.

“I would never play for PSV. In the Netherlands, Feyenoord are the only club where I want to play. Everyone knows that,” Guidetti explained to Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a memorable loan spell at De Kuip, scoring no less than 20 goals in 23 league matches for the Dutch giants.

He has since returned to Etihad, but failed to make a single appearance this season due to injury and fierce competition for places.

Guidetti is, nonetheless, still held in high regard by clubs across Europe and there is every chance he will be leaving Eastlands again in the summer. It only remains to be seen whether he will be farmed out on loan or sold outright.
