Aston Villa goalkeeper Brad Guzan feels that the club’s new signings are joining a squad with a strong bond.
Guzan recently signed a new contract at Villa Park, committing his future to a club that has made multiple new additions during the close-season.
Jores Okore, Leandro Bacuna, Aleksandar Tonev, Nicklas Helenius, Antonio Luna and Jed Steer have all opted to sign for Paul Lambert’s side so far in the transfer window.
The American keeper is looking forward to working with the new recruits, and is eager for them to blend in with an already tight-knit group of players.
“I can’t wait to spend some time with the new boys and help them get integrated into the squad and also for us to get to know them too,” Guzan told the club’s official website.
“It’s important that we spend that time getting to know each other on and off the pitch.
“The new boys are coming into an exciting dressing room.
“We are a really tight-knit group of players who enjoy the company of each other.
“On the field, it’s about working hard, being committed, helping each other and doing our utmost for this great football club.
“We have that camaraderie and that bond. The new boys will feel that and become part of it very quickly. That helps us massively as a squad of players.”
