Haris Seferovic linked with Bundesliga return

Portuguese newspaper A Bola claims that Swiss striker Haris Seferovic could be returning to German Bundesliga this summer.

The 26-year-old has failed to impress since joining Benfica on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt, making just 9 Primeira Liga starts and another 11 substitute appearances, scoring 4 goals.

With the club having signed Facundo Fereyra and Nicolas Castillo, the Swiss forward has been deemed surplus to requirements.

Therefore, chances are that Seferovic will be leaving the club in the summer, as Wolfsburg and few other Bundesliga sides are showing interest.

Considering that the striker is likely to be starting for Switzerland at the 2018 World Cup, Benfica may wait until after the showpiece tournament before entertaining offers for the well-traveled striker.
