Eden Hazard will return for Saturday’s West Brom clash after the Chelsea midfielder was dropped against Schalke for disciplinary reasons.
Hazard was a surprise omission from the side that beat Schalke 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League courtesy of a Samuel Eto’o double and a fine Demba Ba strike.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho revealed that Hazard was left out of his plans after missing training on Monday, but stopped short of publicly criticising the Belgium international.
Mourinho said: “I don’t want to lie. He’s not injured. He missed training on Monday.
“He forgot the time. That’s the end of story. He’s a kid.
“Kids make mistakes and fathers have to be clever in the way they educate their sons.
“He didn’t play. He wanted to play.
“He was sad because he didn’t play. We won without him. On Saturday, he is back. So, end of story.”
