Dutch coach Guus Hiddink has all but ruled himself out of the running to take over from Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan, his agent said Tuesday.

Inter are looking to replace Mourinho, who has taken over at Real Madrid, with a top name but have so far been frustrated in their attemps to lure England manager Fabio Capello and Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez.

And now it seems the Champions League winners will also miss out on Hiddink, who recently took over the reins of Turkey’s national side.

“You can never say 100 percent that Guus Hiddink will not go and coach Inter but I think it’s impossible,” his agent Cees Van Niewenhuizen told Telelombardia and Antenna 3.

“Last week Inter asked me if Hiddink could be a candidate for the ‘nerazzurri’ bench and they told me he was their first choice.

“I said it was impossible as Hiddink has just begun his experience with the Turkish Federation and he won’t go and ask them to be released from his contract.

“This is a question between Inter and the Turkish Federation.

“Since then they have spoken to Benitez and Capello and they haven’t contacted the Turkish Federation.”

Hiddink made his name as a coach when he led PSV Eindhoven to the European Cup title in 1988.

Since then he has coached Real Madrid, the Netherlands, South Korea, Australia and Russia as well as a caretaker stint at Chelsea.
