According to a report on Channel 4 Football Italia, Inter Milan President Massimo Moratti has ruled out the arrival of Ricardo Quaresma. The Italian champions have added Amantino Mancini and Sulley Muntari this summer but were expected to make more additions.
Frank Lampard was the major priority but that deal fell through and now it seems that interest in Portuguese ace Quaresma is fading after the recent defensive injury crisis.
“I don’t think we will be returning to the market,” Moratti explained on Sky Sport Italia. “I don’t believe Jose Mourinho intends to sign.”
“We have plenty of faith in the players at our disposal and I hope that those who are injured manage to recover.”
“Quaresma? We have plenty of options going forward and I don’t think that he will arrive. If anything we would need defenders because they are our problem now.”
