J.League wrap: Easy wins for top two

Pace setters Vegalta Sendai and Sanfrecce Hiroshima both cruised to 4-1 wins in the J.League on Saturday.

Atsushi Yanagisawa scored a brace with goals either side of half-time for Vegalta before second-half goals from Wilson and Takayuki Nakahara made for an easy win over bottom side Consadole Sapporo.

Vegalta stay two points clear of Sanfrecce at the top of the table after they defeated Cerezo Osaka 4-1 on the road.

Naoki Ishihara bagged a double for Sanfrecce, who move to 28 points from their 14 games.

Urawa Reds beat struggling Gamba Osaka 2-1 away and Kawasaki Frontale edged Sagan Tosu to make it maximum points for the league’s top four.

Form side Kashiwa Reysol scored four times within 25 minutes to stun Omiya Ardija 4-2 at home for their fourth win in a row.

Yokohoma F Marinos defeated Tokyo 1-0 thanks to Shingo Hyodo’s 32nd minute strike and Albirex Niigata won by the same margin against Shimizu S-Pulse.

Kensuke Nagai struck the winner for Nagoya Grampus four minutes from time after Kashima Antlers had levelled scores at 2-2.

Jubilo Iwata went down 3-1 at home to Vissel Kobe with Keijiro Ogawa bagging a hat-trick for the winners.
