Juventus are the leading runners for young Uruguayan sensation Gaston Ramirez, Talk Sport are reporting today.

The Italian giants will have to fight off the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City who are apparently amongst the clubs interested in the 21-year-old midfielder.

The Serie A champions look as though they may be busy in this transfer window as they look to build a side that can retain their league title and also be contenders in the Champions League.

Ramirez had an incredible campaign for Bologna last time out and seems to be settled in the Italian league, which puts Juventus is pole position.

It is suggested that it will take a fee of £15 million to lure Ramirez away from Bologna which could be an extremely good price given the potential he clearly has.

With eight goals in Serie A last season from 28 starts, many people are backing the midfielder to get better this year and a move to the Champions may be just what he needs at this stage of his career.

Whatever happens, this is a story to keep an eye on and if a few clubs are interested, Bologna could be receiving a lot of money.
