A report from ESPN suggests that Galatasaray will make a move for out-of-favour Real Madrid midfielder in the January transfer window, should they progress from the group stages of the Champions League.

Many thought that Kaka was on his way out of Real in the summer window, but in the end he stayed at the Bernabeu and seemed happy to fight for his place.

However, the Brazilian has not played a competitive game this campaign and looks as though he is not in Jose Mourinho’s plans.

This has sparked interest from a number of clubs – but it is the Turkish giants who are now emerging as the favourites to land his signature in the New Year.

La Liga Champions Real would welcome a move for the 30-year-old to lower their extremely high wage bill. It is thought that he is on around an annual salary of nine-million-euros.

Gala will have to splash the cash as well to sign Kaka, as he is currently values by the Spanish giants and around 20-million-euros.

On-loan Liverpool man Nuri Sahin has played with him at Real, and says he believes to know where he is off to in January, but would not reveal where.
