Barcelona's Malian defender Seydou Keita will be out for two weeks, including Wednesday's Champions League clash with Basel, after picking up a calf sprain at the weekend, the club said.

But midfielder Xavi Hernandez, voted the best player at Euro 2008, will be back for the Group C match in Switzerland.

Xavi was rested for the first division game at Athletico Bilbao on Sunday, which Barca won 1-0.

Thanks to all our FCBARCELONA players for the gone sunday debut against ATLETICS BILBAO. That was a great effort from Guardiola. One of the problems we faced in that game was coming form pique’ position, he was too slow in his turning and getting on the ball, especially in the first 45 minutes of the game. he should really work on that. he is good player, we love him as we do to our stars at camp nou.
