Fenerbahce’s Dirk Kuyt believes he has the mentality that will see him thrive in the Super Lig clash with fierce rivals Galatasaray.
The two teams square off in a top-of-the-table clash in the Turkish top flight, with Fatih Terim’s side leading Fenerbahce by two points after 15 games.
And Kuyt, who has featured in both a World Cup final with Netherlands and a Champions League final with Liverpool, thinks his experience of high-pressure games will be key for Sunday’s encounter.
“I know the big matches,” Kuyt told TRT Spor.
“Waiting for the big game with Galatasaray, it is like in the Netherlands, waiting for the Ajax-Feyenoord matches.
“I played in England at Liverpool and I played in Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal matches. It is these big matches that I know, we will see what will happen on Sunday.”
