Rayo Vallecano maintained their 100 percent record and moved top of the La Liga table with a 2-1 victory at Real Betis on Saturday.

Rayo, who edged Granada in their opening match of the season, made it two wins from two against Betis with goals from Piti and Brazilian Leo Baptistao.

The visitors took the lead two minutes into the encounter after Baptistao’s cross was tapped home by Piti but Betis hit straight back through Jorge Molina for his third goal of the season.

However, Baptistao scored the match-winner in the 62nd minute, converting a low shot past Betis goalkeeper Fabricio.

Meanwhile, Portuguese striker Helder Postiga struck an 89th minute winner to hand Real Zaragoza a 2-1 win at 10-man Espanyol.

Espanyol hit the front thanks to Alvaro Vasquez on 43 minutes before Apono levelled proceedings from the spot six minutes into the second half after Juan Albin was given his marching orders.

Postiga, who took part in Portugal’s Euro 2012 campaign, secured Zaragoza’s first win of the campaign in the final minute of normal time.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Imanol Agirretxe netted a brace as Real Sociedad ran out 2-1 winners at home to Celta Vigo.

Newly-promoted Celta broke the deadlock through Enrique De Lucas four minutes into the second half before Agirretxe scored twice in seven minutes to give Sociedad their first win of the season.

And Juanmi scored a 76th-minute equaliser to earn Malaga a point at home to Mallorca at the Estadio La Rosaleda after Israeli striker Tomer Hemed had put Mallorca ahead nine minutes earlier.
