Landon Donovan is USA’s hero of the day with his dramatic winner in the 92nd minute that would see the USA through to the knockout stages of the World Cup. With that goal, USA sealed a 1-0 victory over Algeria.
The victory also meant that they emerged as the winner of Group C before second placed England. England won their game against Slovenia 1-0 after an early goal from Jermain Defoe.
