Lazio keen on Valencia, Pato

Serie A strugglers Lazio are looking at Enner Valencia and Alexandre Pato as they plan to recruit a new striker to challenge Filip Djordjevic for a starting berth, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.

The Biancocelesti saw Miroslav Klose leave as his contract expired and they have yet to find him a replacement.

And while Lazio officials were considering moves for Leonardo Pavoletti and Ciro Immobile, their priorities have changed with the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the Argentine manager has made West Ham United striker Enner Valencia his number one target, but he is also ready to consider luring former AC Milan star Alexandre Pato to Stadio Olimpico.

The Brazilian forward was not given a proper chance during the loan stint at Chelsea and he is eager to return to Europe despite being under contract with Corinthians.

Meanwhile, Enner Valencia made just 10 Premier League starts last term as he battled an injury and he might be available for sale this summer.
