Sporting Lisbon continued their struggling season with a 1-1 draw against Vitoria Guimaraes in the Liga Sagres on Sunday.

After neither team could score in the first-half, Sporting’s Brazilian defender Xandao put through his own net on 52 minutes handing Vitoria the lead against the run of play.

But three minutes later, Dutch striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel forced an equaliser for Sporting, who would be disappointed not to claim all three points with a hefty possession advantage.

Fourth-placed Pacos de Ferreira enjoyed a 5-0 win at rock-bottom Moreirense with Peruvian midfielder Paolo Hurtado and Portuguese forward Vitor both scoring a brace.

Luiz Carlos got the other goal as Pacos moved six points clear of fifth-placed Rio Ave while Moreirense are six points inside the relegation zone.

Olhanense came from behind twice to record a 3-3 draw at Estoril.

A straight red card was given to Estoril defender Anderson Luis and the resultant penalty dispatched by Olhanense’s Rui Darte on 68 minutes rounded out the scoring

In other results, Nacional consigned Vitoria Setubal to their third straight loss with a 2-0 victory while Maritamo and Rio Ave claimed a share of the points in their 1-1 draw.
