Loic Remy linked with Russia switch

Chelsea striker Loic Remy is one of the players Spartak Moscow are looking at, according to Izvestia.

Eager to mount a serious title challenge in the league championship, the Russian giants are ready to allocate €20 million for January signings.

Izvestia has learned that Spartak plan to offload the likes of Roman Shirokov, Yura Movsisyan, Jano Ananidze, Vladimir Granat, Serdar Tasci and Araz Ozbiliz, while at the same time recruiting several high-profile footballers.

It is no secret that signing a quality striker is a priority at the moment, with a total of three players currently on the shortlist.

Chelsea forward Loic Remy is one of them and he could be available at a reasonable price given his lack of action at Stamford Bridge.

At the same time, Spartak Moscow are keeping close tabs on Fulham striker Kostas Mitroglou, currently on loan at Benfica, and Figueirense starlet Clayton da Silveira da Silva.
