Former PSG midfielder Lorik Cana was proud his Marseille team-mates did not buckle under the pressure of a capacity crowd at the Parc des Princes to secure a 3-1 defeat of the Albanian’s former club on Sunday.

“We did what we had to do despite the hostility in the stadium,” said Cana, who moved south in 2006. “It wasn’t easy, but we represented our colours with pride. The players knew all about the atmosphere, and they dream of taking part in such a match.

“We really enjoyed ourselves, and when you win as well, it’s simply magnificent.”
