Lowe pens new Rovers deal

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Jason Lowe has signed a new long term contract with the club, Sky Sports understands.

The 22 year old, who is a graduate of the clubs academy, has established himself as a first team regular since making his debut in early 2011.

He also broke on to the international scene during that time, and captained England at the 2011 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Columbia.

Lowe has been an ever present for the Championship club this season, who sit in eleventh place in the division after taking fifteen points from their opening twelve games.

They are seven points off a play-off position, and a further seven behind local rivals Burnley, who lead the division.

Gary Bowyer’s men are available at a price of 11/1 to secure a return to the Premier League after an absence of two years, while they can be backed at 21/10 to beat Blackpool tomorrow afternoon.
