Lukaku’s agent confirms Spurs interest

Romelu Lukaku’s agent has confirmed Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in signing the striker in the summer, according to the Mirror.

The Belgium international is currently enjoying a successful season at Everton, where his twelve goals in twenty-four league appearances have given the Toffees a real chance of qualifying for next seasons Champions League.

Spurs’ hopes of finishing in the top four this season were dented last time out as they were thrashed 4-0 by leaders Liverpool, and they are keen to strengthen their attack ahead of next year.

Lukaku looks unlikely to secure a return to Chelsea next season, despite Jose Mourinho’s own attacking needs, and could be sold for the right price.

Everton’s hopes of making it in to Europe’s premier competition next season will be boosted significantly if they can take all three points against fourth place Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, and Roberto Martinez’s men can be backed at 6/4 for the win.
