Mamadou Sakho wants Premiership stay

Estadio Deportivo understands that Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is determined to remain in English Premier League.

It is now clear that the Frenchman will be leaving Anfield later this month, but even though he has offers from Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A, the 26-year-old reportedly wants to continue playing in England.

Estadio Deportivo claims that Sevilla were hopeful of bringing Sakho to Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan in the January window, but they have been told the player does not plan to leave the Premier League.

This is definitely good news for the long list of suitors that includes Southampton, West Bromwich, Crystal Palace and Swansea.

Having failed to make a single appearance for the Reds this season, Sakho will jump at the opportunity to leave the club this winter, even though such a decision could deny him the chance to win the Premiership trophy.

Even though the Reds trail current leaders Chelsea by 5 points, they can be backed at 9/2 to go all the way.
