Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero continued his fine run of form with five goals on the weekend in a 6-1 thrashing of Newcastle United. He finds himself second in the Premier League scoring charts early on, and looks back to his best after a slow start to the campaign. Manager Manuel Pellegrini revealed the South American was still not 100% fit, but now he could hit the ground running for the Sky Blues.
Aguero has been consistent every season in the Premier League, coming off the back of winning the Golden Boot in 2014/15 (26 goals), taking his tally to 115 goals in a City shirt. The former Atletico Madrid striker has the likes of Jamie Vardy (Leicester City: 7 goals) and Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal: 5 goals) for competition to be top scorer, but Aguero’s consistency is sure to see him stay on top for the season.
