Manchester duo keeping tabs on Oxford

Manchester City and Manchester United are on alert as West Ham United’s negotiations with Reece Oxford have stalled, according to ESPN.

The Hammers have been in talks with the seventeen year-old for several months with just eighteen months remaining on his current deal.

Both of the Manchester sides are interested in signing the England U20 international while Arsenal have been previously linked with a move to secure his services.

Oxford impressed in his Hammers debut, which came against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on the opening day of last season – starring as Slaven Bilic’s side secured a 2-0 win.

He has made just fourteen club appearances in all competitions, with his two outings this season both coming in the Europa League.

West Ham were beaten 3-0 by Southampton on Sunday afternoon, leaving them in the relegation zone and they can now be backed at a price of 9/2 to be relegated.
