Manchester United travel to face Aston Villa in the Premier League on Friday night, with the Red Devils favourites to continue their winning record against the Villans. The two sides have real history in the English top-flight, but United have enjoyed more wins over the Midlands outfit than any other club, so this evenings fixture could well go to form.
Both sides enjoyed opening day wins in the Premier League, with Manchester United beating Tottenham, and Aston Villa win against AFC Bournemouth. The Red Devils have a new-look team this season, with a bolstered midfield to see Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger operating in the central areas to control the match.
The two players played their part in the win against Tottenham, and they will be hoping to keep Aston Villa’s industrious equivalents chasing shadows. The home side are no slouches, however. Under manager Tim Sherwood, Villa have look much-improved with an attacking ethos, and will give it all they’ve got against United.
However, they could struggle to impose themselves on a settled United team that look a real force under manager Louis van Gaal, and Ladbrokes are giving odds of 8/11 for the visitors to come out on top as a result.
