Marseille ace keen on Atletico move

Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena is keen on a move to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

Valbuena has previously been linked with a move to Atletico but Marseille are keen on keeping him at the club and the Spanish side are yet to make an offer for the midfielder.

“He dreams of playing for Atletico, and their fans have impressed him,” Valbuena’s agent, Cristophe Hutteau, told AS.

“He is valued at around €10 million, but Marseille only paid €80,000 for him, and there are clauses in his contract that could allow him to leave for around €4m.

“But there is a lot of difference between a club showing an interest, and actually making an offer.”
