Marseille have confirmed Andre Ayew did not suffer a broken foot after leaving his team’s match against Paris Saint-Germain on crutches.

The Ghana international was substituted after 66 minutes of his side’s 2-0 Coupe de la Ligue defeat in the French capital and was seen leaving the Parc des Princes, unable to walk.

However, tests on Thursday confirmed he has not sustained any broken bones, only bruising and a sprain, and the club will continue to monitor his situation over the next 48 hours.

The 22-year-old has been a regular for Elie Baup’s side this season, making 17 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals in the process.
