The agent of Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena has rejected speculations that his client with leave Velodrome this summer.
Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo recently hinted that the France international could join Arsenal this summer, but the player’s agent has ruled out such a possibility.
“He intends to stay at OM,” Christophe Huteau told La Provence.
“His departure is scheduled for June 2012 after the European Championship.”
Marseille boss Didier Deschamps confirmed that Valbuena was staying at Velodrome.
“Arsene Wenger and Arsenal will not take Mathieu. It is clear,” Deschamps said at a news conference.
