Mascherano confident ahead of United clash

Javier Mascherano insists Liverpool can claw themselves back into the Premier League title race by claiming victory over Manchester United on Saturday. The Merseyside outfit, who beat the Red Devils 2-1 at Anfield in September, can move to within four points of the league leaders if they do the double at Old Trafford.

“We have to go to Old Trafford and win so we will see what happens,” Mascherano is quoted as saying in The Sun. “But if we play like we did against Real, it will be difficult for any team to beat us. It was a fantastic display. We were pressing all the time and didn’t let them play.”
