Milan in fresh assault on Immobile

Italian giants AC Milan are readying a summer bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile, Bild has suggested.

The Rossoneri are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements, but the latest reports claim they will opt against making Mattia Destro’s stay at San Siro permanent.

AC Milan officials instead hope to lure Ciro Immobile back to Italian Serie A, and everything suggests they will succeed in their quest.

With the former Torino star failing to impress at Signal-Iduna Park, it is believed he will be allowed to leave for €15 million in the summer, which is well within Milan’s price range.

Immobile, 25, is still held in high regard by top Italian sides, having scored 22 goals last term to finish as Serie A top goalscorer.

His suitors AC Milan will be looking to end a three-match losing run when they host Champions League hopefuls Roma tonight, with home win paying 28/10.
