(GSM) – Internazionale striker Diego Milito is relieved to be back amongst the goals even if he insists the team performance will always come first.

Milito scored a brace in Inter’s midweek victory over Bari which ended 4-0.

“I’m happy,” he said. “It’s normal that scoring goals is important for a striker, but I was always calm about the situation – even when I wasn’t finding the back of the net.

“I want to thank lots of people – all the fans, my teammates and all of the staff who stayed close to me during these weeks.”

The Argentine couldn’t come up with a reason behind his recent drought.

“You can just find yourself in a bad spell, all attackers have moments when things go right or things go wrong. It’s hard to explain but if you work hard then you can come out of it as I did.

“I just hope to keep scoring now. However, the most important thing is that the team wins and not that I score goals.”

Milito’s double paved the way to three more points and to the top of the table.

“It’s too soon to talk about a breakaway at the top of the table,” he added. “There are still so many games to play and we are aware that the season will be a tough one.”
