Miss of the week Award Goes to Al Ahli’s Mehdi Taremi (Video)

Even though it’s still too early in the week, it’s fair to say we already have a strong contender – and possibly even winner – of the Miss of the Week contest.

The 25-year-old Iranian forward Mehdi Taremi of Al Ahli scoops this ‘prestigious’ award for his incredible miss during his team’s AFC Champions League 1-1 stalemate against Al Gharafa.

Taremi scored the only goal for his team but missed the chance – quite literally – to become a proper hero when he squandered an almost open goal attempt after a quick counterattack from his team.
