Marseille are closing in on Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko, L’Equipe has revealed.
Sissoko, 23, who has less than six months left on his deal at Stade Municipal, has been linked with a January move to English Premier League, but he has yet to receive an official bid from England.
Meanwhile, Marseille have come up with a concrete offer and already agreed a deal with the player’s representatives.
It is now up to coach Elie Baup to persuade his former player that a move to Stade Velodrome would be beneficial for his career.
Marseille still need to agree on a transfer fee with Toulouse, with OM not prepared to pay more than €3 million.
Sissoko appears to be waiting for English clubs to step up their interest, but everything suggests that he will ultimately accept the offer from Marseille.
The talented midfielder has so far made 163 Ligue 1 appearances for le Tefece and scored 20 goals.
