Napoli rekindle interest in Maksimovic

Serie A high flyers Napoli have rekindled their interest in Torino defender Nikola Maksimovic, Tuttosport can reveal.

With the Azzurri having all but secured an automatic Champions League berth, they can already start thinking about summer reinforcements.

According to Tuttosport, Torino defender Nikola Maksimovic has been made their number one target.

Napoli have already attempted to recruit the Serbian centre-back in the past, but they plan to make things right in the summer.

The Azzurri hope to agree a deal with Torino that would be worth €18 million plus bonuses, while River Plate centre-back Emanuel Mammana is seen as plan B.

Napoli are also considering moves for Atalanta goalkeeper Sportiello, Marcos Rojo and Nacho Fernandez.

The Azzurri still have a chance of lifting the Serie A trophy as they sit three points behind leaders Juventus and they can be backed at 5/2 to go all the way.
