Nemanja Vidic wants Spartak return

Russian daily newspaper Izvestia claims that Inter Milan defender Nemanja Vidic is keen on rejoining Spartak Moscow.

It was at Spartak that the Serbian centre-back had made a name for himself and secured a lucrative move to Manchester United.

Vidic signed for Inter Milan in the summer of 2014, but he has since failed to prove his worth in Italian Serie A.

Following some under-par performances and injury problems, the veteran defender will probably be released from his contract in the coming weeks as his hefty wage is proving to be a major burden on club’s budget.

According to Izvestia, Nemanja Vidic has expressed a desire to return to Spartak Moscow in January and he would even be prepared to accept a minor pay cut in order to finally leave Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

And while the Russian giants are expected to recruit heavily this winter, it remains to be seen whether they will make a move on their former player.
