Nicklas Bendtner set for Wolfsburg sack

Danish striker Niklas Bendtner appears to have played his final game for Wolfsburg, Bild can reveal.

The former Arsenal forward never quite managed to prove his worth in German Bundesliga and it appears that the Wolves have become fed up with his unprofessional behaviour.

Wolfsburg chief Klaus Allofs confirmed to Bild that Bendtner had been dropped from the squad, and that the club were trying to find a solution with the player’s representatives.

This basically means that the 28-year-old will be allowed to leave the club at the end of the season and the two sides are now trying to agree on mutual termination.

Nicklas Bendtner has another year left on his €3 million per season deal and chances are he will be quite happy to leave on a free transfer.

The Denmark international has spent last two years at Wolfsburg, making 31 Bundesliga appearances and scoring 3 goals.
