Norwegians are the most respectful footballers in Europe. At least, according to UEFA’s Respect Fair Play ranking. The country that tops this ranking at the end of the season will get three extra places in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round.
The ranking is based on club and national team matches played between 1 May 2008 and 30 April 2009, considering a minimum of 25 matches.
The list is dominated by Europe’s north as Norway are followed by Denmark, Scotland, the Netherlands, Wales and Sweden. Of the 46 countries includes, FYR Macedonia have showed the least respect for fair play.
