Championship side Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal for Benfica striker Nelson Oliveira, according to A Bola.

The English giants saw winger Michael Antonio join West Ham in a £7 million transfer on summer deadline day, and they in turn decided to reinforce their front line with the Portuguese forward.

A Bola has learned that Nelson Oliveira will join Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old was considered one of Portugal’s hottest prospects not so long ago, but he never quite managed to prove his worth at Estadio da Luz.

Following successful stints with Deportivo La Coruna and Rennes, Oliveira was loaned to Swansea last summer, but could only score one goal in ten Premier League appearances.

The Portugal international has now been given a fresh chance to impress in England, and he will be hoping to do well enough to secure a permanent move to Nottingham Forest.

Sporting close on Franco Cervi

Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon are stepping up their efforts to sign Argentine midfielder Franco Cervi from Rosario Central, Record has suggested.

Clubs from Portugal have another twenty days to recruit new players as the summer transfer window in the country is open until 22 September.

As a result, Sporting Lisbon are wrapping up the deal to sign Rosario Central midfielder Franco Cervi for a reported fee of €3.7 million.

Nevertheless, the Lions plan to add the player to their ranks in the January transfer window as the squad for the new season is already complete.

Franco Cervi did well to nail down a regular starting berth at Rosario Central after coming through the youth ranks at the club, and he has been in excellent form this season.

The right winger, who can also operate on the left, managed 5 goals and 4 assists in 21 league outings for the Argentine side.

Boca purchase Pablo Perez

Argentine giants Boca Juniors have completed the signing of midfielder Pablo Perez from Malaga, Ole has revealed.

La Xeneize decided to turn the player’s loan deal into permanent move, paying €1 million for 70 percent of the midfielder’s economic rights.

Perez in turn signed a contract until December 2019 with Boca Juniors, following a bright start to his career at la Bombonera.

The former Newell’s star joined La Xeneize on loan in January 2015 and he has since impressed to make 14 league appearances and score 2 goals.

Having quickly developed into an important member of the squad at La Bombonera, Perez has now earned a permanent deal with one of world’s most famous clubs.

What is more, his impressive showings in Argentina’s top flight also caught the eye of La Albiceleste coach Tata Martino, who is considering Perez for his next squad.
