AC Milan defender Massimo Oddo was set to join the French giants Lyon, but has now made a u-turn and looks set to join German side Bayern Munich.

Oddo was set to travel to France on Wednesday for a medical at Lyon, but the right back refused to take the trip.

German giants Bayern Munich want Oddo as a replacement for Marcell Jansen who has joined Hamburg.

It has been reported in the German press that Oddo will join Bayern on a one year loan move.

“We believe that Oddo is a player who can help us,” said Bayern Munich manager Uli Hoeness.

The 2006 World Champion could make his debut for Bayern on Sunday against Hertha Berlin.
