(GSM) – Greek giants Panathinaikos and Olympiakos both got their first wins of the season, beating Aris and Kerkyra respectively.

Panathinaikos drew their opening game two weeks ago and again struggled at Aris, this time with a better result however.

The only goal of the match came at two minutes from the half time whistle as former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse scored from the penalty spot.

Olympiakos, who lost their opening match to Iraklis, were too strong for newly promoted Kerkyra.

With four Spaniards in the line-up, it was actually Swedish defender Olof Mellberg to score the opener on 89 minutes. Albert Riera, another former Liverpool player, netted the second with five minutes left to play in Piraeus.
