Paraguay 2-2 Brazil: Dani Alves late show saves Dunga’s men from Asuncion defeat

Dani Alves was Brazil’s unlikely hero as the Selecao salvaged a 2-2 draw against Paraguay, striking in the last minute to take a share of the points.

Dunga’s men were second-best throughout in Asuncion, and a goal in each half from Dario Lezcano and Edgar Benitez ensured the hosts would grab a memorable victory.

But Ricardo Oliveira’s goal gave them a lifeline, and Alves appeared seconds from the final whistle to earn a relieved Dunga a vital draw.
