Cesar Vallejo scored a 1-0 victory over Inti Gas in the Peruvian Primera Division, to climb to the top of the table on Tuesday.

An 82nd-minute goal from German Alemanno was enough for the Estadio Mansiche hosts to earn all three points, and move to 18 points from 11 games.

Their time at the top might be limited, though, as second side Real Garcilaso have three games in hand on the provisional leaders.

In the day’s other affair, Leon de Huanuco also scored in the final 15 minutes to secure a 1-0 victory on the road at Universidad San Martin.

The visitors to the Estadio Miguel Grau del Callao did the damage in the 77th minute, when Javier Arizala found the back of the net.

Leon de Huanuco climbed to ninth in the table on 14 points, while Universidad remain rooted to the bottom of the division with just six points to their name.
