Pirlo looking for a new challenge

Andrea Pirlo is arguably one of the game’s finest midfielders playing for a team that was not long before considered one of the best in Europe. However it seems that AC Milan’s stature has gone down. Pirlo and many other members of that team have won almost everything there is to be won and now the hunger for success seems to have washed down.

In light of this, Goal.com reports that Andrea Pirlo is considering moving away from San Siro and looking for fresh challenges. Reports of Pirlo being targeted by some far-away team with a golden stadium have always surfaced in the papers, but they were never taken seriously. Pirlo is considered to be the heart-beat of AC Milan and despite his declarations many would expect to seem him wear red and black next season.

“It would be nice to try another experience, certain proposals are flattering, but I’m fine at Milan,” said Pirlo.

“I’ve already won everything there is to win with this shirt.”

Now the newspapers in Spain and England will overflow with news that he prefers one club over another and that he has already had talks with one club or another. No suitor or transfer fee has been mentioned in the press yet, so we just have to wait and see where he will move this summer or if he is indeed going anywhere.
