Lech Poznan moved to within two points of Ekstraklasa leaders Legia Warszawa thanks to a 1-0 win over Gornik Zabrze on Sunday.

Hubert Wolakiewicz scored from a penalty to give the visitors from Poznan the lead in the 63rd minute of the match at Ernest Pohl Stadium.

Burkina Faso international Prejuce Nakoulma had a chance to salvage a point for the home side from the spot in the 89th minute, but sent his effort wide of goal.

The defeat leaves Gornik Zabrze fourth on the table, four points behind Lech and six points back from top spot.

Also on Sunday, Thomas Docekal netted a brace either side of half-time as Piast Gliwice defeated Pogon Szczecin 2-0 away from home.

On Monday, Lechia Gdansk netted twice late on to beat 10-man Korona Kielce 3-2 at home.
